Confidential Six-figure settlement - Employment Discrimination

A pregnant Hispanic cashier was denied the same accommodations that Caucasian pregnant cashiers were receiving relative to their pregnancy related restrictions.  After complaining about the disparity in treatment between caucasian and Hispanic pregnant employees, our client was fired, accused of theft and escorted out of the store.  Our investigation proved these actions were against company policy and implanted in a discriminatory manner. The settlement represented only emotional distress as the client was not physically injured and did not pursue a lost wages claim.
